XFETTA is an innovative, high-performance, effective, and capable tool, serving the truffle and its goodness.
XFETTA Damasco Limited Edition is made of Damasteel DS93XTM, sintered Damascus stainless steel produced from two different grade alloys, RWL34TM and PMC27TM. Damascus is a type of material with millennia of history and incomparable cutting performance, making XFETTA a work of art in both technique and aesthetics.
It is recommended to keep the product away from humidity, to carefully avoid accidental bumps and drops, and to always use the protective sheath after use.

Chef Davide Oldani's thoughts:
When slicing a fresh truffle today, we eyeball it; we adjust the wheel, regulate the spring, and then cut. This causes obvious differences in slice thickness and an approximation that ends up penalizing a very precious product. The XFETTA truffle slicer is made from a single piece following the "less is more" logic that characterizes many of my choices; it cuts slices all of the same thickness, because precision is one of the characteristics that contribute to creating dishes as repeatable as possible in taste, taking into account climate and seasonal variables.
I chose the name XFETTA to convey two concepts: The first is that the slice has an ideal thickness and is therefore ideally "perfect" for enhancing the truffle and its unmistakable aroma; the second is that each slice is perfectly identical to the others. And even if we were to read "ICSFETTA," the sense of all identical slices would multiply... infinitely. I decided to write XFETTA and not Perfetta so that the name is as sleek as the object it represents, which, like all my design projects, was born from the daily observation of the guest and the kitchen, harmonizing simplicity, functionality, and essentiality.
