Crostini with Shrimp and Precious Black Truffle
Looking for something special to prepare for your Sunday aperitivo with friends? Here's an idea that will surprise everyone! Delicious crostini with pâté, shrimp, and fine black truffle. If fresh truffle is out of season, you can easily substitute it with Fine Black Truffle Cream; the result will still be amazing.
Crostini with shrimp and fine black truffle are a delicious appetizer ideal for starting any type of meal, and naturally pair very well with fish-based menus. They are quick to prepare and, being enriched with fine black truffle, will surely impress all your guests.
If fresh fine black truffle is out of season, you can easily substitute it with Fine Black Truffle Cream. The result will still be amazing.
This recipe used a ready-made pâté, but you can make it at home using a can of tuna and two spoonfuls of mayonnaise.
Fresh truffle is a very delicate ingredient. It can be stored in a cool place for a short period (maximum 7-8 days) wrapped in absorbent paper and sealed in an airtight container. See also TuberPack.
White Truffle: from September 15th to January 31st.
Black Truffle: from December 1st to March 15th.
Muscat Truffle: from November 15th to March 15th.
Summer Truffle or Scorzone: from May 1st to August 31st and from September 21st to November 30th.
Hooked Truffle: from October 1st to January 31st.
Winter Black Truffle: from December 15th to March 15th.
Whitish Truffle: from January 15th to April 15th.
